CAPE ELIZABETH — The fourth vendor permit at Fort Williams Park may go unfilled this year.
No one applied for the permit when the town first advertised it in March, and the response was the same when the town re-posted the advertisement in April. Three other vendor licenses have been awarded.
Public Works Director Bob Malley said the main concern he heard from potential applicants was a restriction on sales, which only allows the vendor to sell cold beverages, snacks and ice cream. The minimum bid for the Ship Cove Beach area license is $3,000.
Malley said suggestions to change the application will likely be discussed at a Fort Williams Park Committee meeting May 16.
