FRYEBURG — Sarah Harriman and Kylie Locke hit run-scoring singles during a six-run third inning Wednesday as unbeaten Fryeburg Academy downed Gray-New Gloucester 8-3 in a Western Maine Conference softball game.

Harriman also struck out eight and walked four in a four-hitter for the Raiders (10-0).

Alex Thompson had two hits and drove in a run for Gray-New Gloucester (6-4).

SCARBOROUGH 5, MASSABESIC 3: Alyssa Williamson pitched a three-hitter for the Red Storm (7-1), who totaled five unanswered runs in the third and fourth innings to rally past the Mustangs (4-5) at Waterboro.

Marisa O’Toole finished with a pair of hits and Megan Murrell added a double for Scarborough.

GORHAM 6, MCAULEY 0: Gorham (3-5) scored four runs in the fourth inning to pull away from McAuley (1-7) at Portland.

Sam Robinson, Erin Smith, Lindsey Wilcox and Kayla Harris had hits in the fourth.

Julia Gaudette pitched a five-hit shutout.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 8, MORSE 0: Desiree Benner pitched a one-hit shutout to lead Medomak Valley (7-2) over Morse (1-8) at Waldoboro.

Benner struck out nine and walked four.

Taylor Simmons drove in two runs with three singles and a double.

EDWARD LITTLE 7, MT. ARARAT 3: Danielle Rock had a two-run homer in the fourth inning and Brooke Reynolds added a grand slam in the fifth as the Red Eddies (6-3) defeated the Eagles (3-6) at Topsham.

Taylor Pare of Mt. Ararat hit a two-run triple in the sixth.

Kim Leslie had seven strikeouts and four walks for the Eagles.

OCEANSIDE 10, BELFAST 7: Rachel Frye had three hits and drove in a run as the Mariners (9-0) held off the Lions (4-4) at Rockland.

SOUTH PORTLAND 11, KENNEBUNK 2: Olivia Indorf struck out eight in a three-hitter and also hit a home run as the Red Riots (6-2) downed the Rams (4-4) at Kennebunk.

Laurine German paced South Portland with four hits, including a home run and two doubles.

THORNTON ACADEMY 4, SANFORD 0: Emily Richard drove in a run and scored another as the Golden Trojans (4-4) downed the Spartans (5-4) at Sanford.

Richard squeezed in a run in the fourth then doubled and scored on a single by Aleisha Cross in the sixth.

SACOPEE VALLEY 7. LAKE REGION 5: Dakota Minor hit a two-out double in the seventh inning as the Hawks (2-6) scored twice to break a tie and beat Lake Region (0-7) at Naples.

Liz Moulton scattered seven hits and allowed three earned runs for Sacopee.

MARSHWOOD 10, PORTLAND 1: Nicole Harvey struck out 10 with no walks in a no-hitter as the Hawks (6-2) beat the Bulldogs (2-8) at South Berwick.

Harvey also hit an RBI double and finished with two RBI, and Sammy Crossman added a double and two runs.

FREEPORT 10, TRAIP ACADEMY 0: Leigh Wyman pitched a one-hitter with 14 strikeouts and no walks as the Falcons (4-5) handled the Rangers (2-7) at Kittery.

Helen Humphrey and Jess Perry each had two hits, and combined for three runs and two RBI.

GREELY 11, YORK 2: Danielle Cimino hit a three-run homer in the first inning and Greely (8-2) went on to beat York (1-7) at Cumberland.

Cimino struck out 11, walked three and gave up six hits.

LISBON 16, BOOTHBAY REGION 0: Taylor Plourde had four hits and drove in three runs as Lisbon (2-6) defeated the Seahawks (0-8) in five innings at Boothbay Harbor.

BIDDEFORD 5, CHEVERUS 3: Abbie Paquette doubled and drove in four runs, and Mariah Albert had three hits and scored three times to lift the Tigers (6-3) over the Stags (5-3) at Biddeford.

Paquette scattered six hits with four strikeouts and three walks.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 21, MT. VIEW 0: Hayden Campbell had two hits with four RBI and three runs as the Eagles (6-3) cruised past the Mustangs (0-9) in five innings at Newcastle.

WINDHAM 7, WESTBROOK 6: Miranda Richards hit a two-out single in the seventh inning and scored on an error to lift the Eagles (3-5) over the Blue Blazes (5-4) at Windham.

Haley Plante had three hits with three RBI and a run, and Morgan Richmond added three hits, three runs and one RBI for Windham.

CAPE ELIZABETH 7, YARMOUTH 6: Mary Perkins had two hits and Ashley Tinsman hit a two-run homer as the Capers (8-0) held off the Clippers (4-5) at Yarmouth.

The Clippers rallied for three runs in the seventh inning, the last on a double by Kallie Hutchinson, who was stranded at second when the game ended.

BONNY EAGLE 19, DEERING 3: Erica Sullivan struck out nine to lead Bonny Eagle (4-4) over Deering (0-8) at Portland.

Lindsey Gammon and Rebecca Howell combined for six RBI in the first inning.
