PORTLAND — National Public Radio political correspondent Mara Liasson is delivering the keynote speech at this year’s University of Maine School of Law graduation ceremony.

Ninety-seven students are being awarded J.D. law degrees at Saturday’s commencement at Merrill Auditorium in Portland. Two students are being awarded advanced L.L.M. law degrees.

Liasson has worked at NPR since 1985 and provides extensive coverage of politics and policy from Washington, D.C.

Also at the commencement, the school will present the 2013 L. Kinvin Wroth Award to the U.S. District Court John A. Woodcock Jr. The award, named after former law school Dean L. Kinvin Wroth, honors a Maine law graduate who has achieved distinction in his or her career.
