BANGOR — Maine law enforcement officials are seeking the public’s help in finding a 15-year-old girl who was last seen over the weekend outside her Glenburn home.

Officials said Friday that they want anyone who may have seen a black Ford Ranger pickup or similar truck near Nichole Cable’s home between 8 p.m. Sunday and 2 a.m. Monday to contact police. The area of interest is Route 221 between the intersections of Pushaw Road and Route 43.

Cable was last seen by her parents Sunday night. They say she was seeing someone she’d met over the Internet.

Penobscot County Chief Deputy Troy Morton said Friday that the search will continue through the weekend. Wardens are using dog teams, and airplanes have been used as well.

Cable has light brown hair and blue eyes and weighs 90 pounds. She is a student at Old Town High School.

Glenburn is a town of about 4,600 people in Penobscot County.
