WESTBROOK – Allie Lemay hit a two-run single in the first inning Tuesday to spark Westbrook to a 5-3 Southern Maine Activities Association softball win over Thornton Academy.

Amberly Delponte’s RBI single in the third proved the winner. Emily Thornton had three hits with two runs scored for the Blue Blazes (8-7).

Sam Schildroth had two hits with a run for Thornton Academy (12-4).

SOUTH PORTLAND 14, GORHAM 2: Erin Bogdanovich went 2 for 2 and drove in five runs to lead South Portland (14-2) in a five-inning win over Gorham (6-10) at South Portland.

Bogdanovich allowed no hits, struck out four and walked two.

MASSABESIC 4, MARSHWOOD 2: Dani Egan scored the winning run in the fifth inning as the Mustangs (7-8) fended off the Hawks (8-7-1) at South Berwick.

With the game tied 2-2 in the fifth with a runner on third, Egan hit a ball to the right side of pitcher Nicole Harvey, who threw to the plate for an out. Marshwood catcher Gianna Ricardi overthrew the second baseman as Egan headed toward the bag.

The ball got past the center fielder, who was in, and Egan scored.

CAPE ELIZABETH 3, POLAND 0: Katie Rabasca pitched a three-hitter with two strikeouts and no walks as the Capers (14-1) blanked the Knights (9-6) at Cape Elizabeth.

Elise Flathers hit an RBI double and Hannah Saturley added an RBI single during a three-run first inning for the Capers.

SANFORD 3, CHEVERUS 0: Samantha Adams hit a two-run triple in the first inning and shut out Cheverus (6-10) for seven innings to lead visiting Sanford (11-5).

Adams struck out 10.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 15, LAKE REGION 4: Zoe Adams pounded out four hits to lead Gray-New Gloucester (10-5) over Lake Region (0-14) at Naples.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 3, MARANACOOK 0: Abby Farrin struck out five while pitching a two-hit shutout to lead Lincoln Academy (8-6) over Maranacook (8-7) at Newcastle.

OCEANSIDE 5, WINSLOW 0: Rachel Frye struck out 13 and scattered three hits as the Mariners (15-1) blanked the Black Raiders (10-6) at Rockland.

TRAIP ACADEMY 17, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 10: Kalie Andrews struck out five in a complete game and led the offense with three RBI as Traip Academy (3-12) beat Old Orchard Beach (3-11) at Kittery.

MORSE 6, NOKOMIS 4: Jacelyn McNeill struck out five while throwing a five-hitter and also hit a double and a single to lead the Shipbuilders (3-12) over the Warriors (9-6) at Bath.

Lucy Rawson, Neisa Ryder and Morgan Cram added two singles apiece for Morse, who scored three runs in the first and two more in the second.

Natasha Howard hit a solo homer for Nokomis.

MCI 3, MEDOMAK 2: Victoria Drake had two singles and Courtney Fowler doubled to lead the Huskies (9-6) over he Panthers (10-5) at Pittsfield.

WINTHROP 16, WISCASSET 0: Cat Ouellette went 2 for 3 and Danielle Pease doubled to lead the Ramblers (9-6) over the visiting Wolverines (3-11).

RICHMOND 7, SACOPEE VALLEY 0: Jamie Plummer struck out four in throwing a one-hitter and also scored a pair of runs as the Bobcats (14-0) remained undefeated with a win over the Hawks (6-9) at Hiram.

CAPE ELIZABETH 17, FALMOUTH 10: Lauren Steidl scored six goals to lead the Capers (8-3) over the Yachtsmen (5-5) at Cape Elizbeth.

Tallie Perkins added five for the Capers, who trailed 4-1 early in the game.

Cape Elizabeth rallied quickly to lead 9-6 at halftime.

Angela Mallis and Alec Bernier paced the Yachtsmen with four goals apiece.

SOUTH PORTLAND 10, PORTLAND 6: Lani Edwards had three goals and two assists as the Red Riots (7-4) got past the Bulldogs (7-4) at South Portland.

Ella Coose had three goals for Portland.

MASSABESIC 19, SANFORD 1: Rayne Whitten scored six goals and dished out two assists to lead Massabesic (8-3) over Sanford (2-10) at Waterboro.

WAYNFLETE 11, CHEVERUS 5: Saide Cole scored seven goals and assisted on three others to lead the Flyers (11-0) past the Stags (9-3) at Cheverus.

Cheverus was led by Alex Logan with two goals.

YORK 15, BIDDEFORD 1:Courtney Cole scored five goals to lead York (9-3) in a rout of the Tigers (4-7) at Biddeford.

Ruby Cribby added four goals for the Wildcats and Lizzy Wagner netted three.

CONY 7, MT. ARARAT 5: Haley Hanks and Bayleigh Logan each scored two goals to lift the Rams (9-3) over the Eagles (6-6) at Augusta.

Mt. Ararat was paced by Katie Labbay and Sierra Gilley with two goals apiece.

MESSALONSKEE 18, MORSE 9: Ally Fischang and Kristy Bernatchez put in four goals apiece as the Eagles (12-0) finished with a perfect record by doubling up the Shipbuilders (7-5) at Oakland.

Sydney Gagne and Kristen Kern each added three goals for Messalonskee.

Sadia Crosby scored three goals to pace Morse.
