ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – R.A. Dickey baffled the Tampa Bay Rays again.
Dickey pitched a two-hitter for his first complete game of the year, Jose Reyes went 0 for 4 in his return from a two-month layoff and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Rays 3-0 Wednesday for their 12th win in 14 games.

“I just concentrate on trying to produce a good knuckleball down in the strike zone for a strike, and today I was able to do that,” Dickey said.
“Mechanically I was very repeatable and you saw the results. They were hitting a lot of ground balls, I had a high strike percentage, so that’s what I’m looking for.”
Dickey (7-8) retired his first 13 batters before James Loney grounded a single between shortstop and third base with one out in the fifth. Yunel Escobar had a one-out single in the sixth, then was erased when Matt Joyce hit a double-play grounder.
Only one Tampa Bay runner, Desmond Jennings, advanced past first base.
RANGERS 8, YANKEES 5: Nelson Cruz homered and Texas got consecutive two-run doubles from Adrian Beltre and A.J. Pierzynski the victory at New York.
Rangers rookie Justin Grimm pitched just well enough to beat Andy Pettitte, and the AL West leaders won for the seventh time in nine games following a six-game slide.
INDIANS 4, ORIOLES 3: Scott Kazmir took a no-hitter into the seventh inning, and Cleveland scored two ninth-inning runs off closer Jim Johnson to collect a win at Baltimore.
ANGELS 7, TIGERS 4: Mike Trout homered and drove in three runs, and Erick Aybar’s two-run shot gave Los Angeles the lead for good as the Angels won at Detroit for their eighth consecutive win over the Tigers.
NATIONAL LEAGUE
NATIONALS 3, DIAMONDBACKS 2: Jordan Zimmermann dominated after a shaky start and rookie Anthony Rendon had his third three-hit performance as host Washington defeated Arizona, which has lost three straight.
CUBS 5, BREWERS 4: Scott Feldman pitched six solid innings for his first win against a division foe, and Anthony Rizzo had a two-run single as Chicago held on to win at Milwaukee.
INTERLEAGUE PLAY
MARLINS 5, TWINS 3: Placido Polanco homered for the first time in more than a year and Jeff Mathis hit his first since last August, helping host Miami overcome a three-run deficit and prevail over Minnesota.
ASTROS 4, CARDINALS 3: Erik Bedard pitched six effective innings and host Houston used a four-run fourth inning to beat St. Louis.
ATHLETICS 5, REDS 0: A.J. Griffin pitched a two-hitter for his first win in more than a month, Josh Donaldson hit a three-run homer and host Oakland won to sweep a two-game series against Cincinnati.
PIRATES 4, MARINERS 2: Jordy Mercer hit a go-ahead single with two outs in the ninth inning and Pittsburgh won at Seattle to improve to 48-30. They are 18 games over .500 for the first time since 1992, their last winning season.
ROYALS 4, BRAVES 3: Alex Gordon drove in David Lough in the 10th inning, giving host Kansas City a victory over Atlanta and a split of their two-game series.
METS 3, WHITE SOX 0: Shaun Marcum pitched eight shutout innings for his first win of the season, and Eric Young Jr. had three hits and drove in a run to lead New York to victory at Chicago.
