SACO — Saco firefighters were battling a barn fire that broke out late Wednesday night at 71 Rocky Hill Road.

A dispatcher for the Saco Fire Department said the barn is attached to a home. The cause of the fire, which was reported around 10:30 p.m., wasn’t immediately known, but there was heavy thunder and lightning throughout the area Wednesday night.

As of 11:30 p.m., firefighters were still battling the blaze.

The dispatcher had no other information on the incident.
