CORINTH — The mother of a 14-year-old Maine boy found bloodied and unconscious in the middle of the road has made an emotional appeal for anyone who knows what happened to her son to contact police.

Angie Ouellette is the mother of Christopher Killian.

Christopher was found by a motorist lying in Route 15 in Corinth just before midnight Friday. Police say he was walking home from a friend’s house.

He remains hospitalized but conscious.

A tearful Ouellette said Tuesday she realizes someone may have hit her son and not known it. She also thanked the driver who found her son, called 911, and tended to him until help arrived.

Police have not yet talked to the boy, so they’re not quite sure what happened. They suspect it was a hit-and-run.
