Celtics to open the 2013-2014 NBA season at Toronto; home opener vs. Milwaukee

The Boston Celtics will begin their new season on the road Oct. 30 at Toronto, and play their home opener Nov. 1 against the Milwaukee Bucks.

The defending champion Miami Heat visit the TD Garden just once this season on March 19, and the Celtics will host Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and the Brooklyn Nets on Jan. 26 and March 7.


FCBL: Phil Sciretta had three hits and drove in two runs, including the go-ahead run in a two-run eighth inning that sent the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide (23-27) to a 3-1 win over the Brockton Rox (23-24) in Futures Collegiate Baseball League action at Brockton, Mass.
