Market Basket’s first Maine store is opening Sunday in Biddeford.

The supermarket chain, which opened its first store nearly 100 years ago, has 71 locations in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, where it is based.

The company has hired 450 people to work at the store in the former Lowe’s at Biddeford Crossing on Route 111, which will open its doors at 7 a.m. Sunday.

Its hours will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday and 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, according to its website.

The store will have fresh sushi, a cafe and a kitchen with sandwiches, pizza, rotisserie chicken and burritos.
