CAMDEN — Maine residents will be showing off their boat-building skills this weekend at the annual Camden Windjammer festival.

The festival kicked off Friday with the arrival of Maine’s historic fleet of windjammers and continues Saturday with the boat-building contest.

Participants are invited to build their best boat out of materials like plywood, nails and glue, supplied by EBS and Sikaflex. Construction begins Saturday at 9 a.m. at the public landing.

The boats will be raced Sunday at noon in the harbor.
