BOSTON — The National Weather Service has issued a flash flooding warning for Boston and surrounding areas.
The warning is in effect until noon Sunday and includes southeastern Middlesex, Suffolk and northern Norfolk counties.
The National Weather Service said numerous highways and roads were closed due to water inundating the roads.
Up to 3 inches of rain have fallen.
Showers and thunderstorms will remain in the region into Tuesday.
