LEBANON — Seatbelts and airbags saved several people from serious injuries when two Dodge Caravan minivans collided on Center Road in Lebanon Monday night.
A 39-year-old Lebanon man was driving a 2000 Dodge Caravan north on the road with three children ranging from 6 to 11 years old. A teenager driving a 2003 Caravan with a 43-year-old passenger pulled onto Center Road from Lower Cross Road and the vehicles collided at 7:26 p.m., said Lebanon Assistant Rescue Chief Jason Cole in a release.
Both vans were destroyed, with heavy damage to their front ends, Cole said. Everyone was wearing seatbelts, he said.
All six people were attended to by rescue workers at the scene, Cole said.
