YORK – Lili Posternak scored her second goal of the game midway through the second half Tuesday, breaking a tie and lifting York to a 2-1 victory against Falmouth in a Western Maine Conference field hockey meeting.

Posternak took a quick self start off a free hit outside the circle, releasing a shot from the top of the circle for the Wildcats (4-0).

Posternak and Mikey Richards of Falmouth (3-1) scored first-half goals.

WATERVILLE 11, LINCOLN ACADEMY 1: Jena Nawfel had six goals and three assists as the Purple Panthers (2-2-1) beat Lincoln Academy (0-5) at Waterville.

LAKE REGION 2, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 1: Lucy Fowler scored in the ninth minute of the second half — her second goal of the game — as the Lakers (4-1) downed the Raiders (2-3) at Fryeburg.

Courtney Yates set up the winner on a penalty corner.

Fowler also scored in the ninth minute of the first half.

Meghan VanLoan made four saves for Lake Region.

Bridget Tweedie scored from Sydney Andreoli and Jasmine Ramsey stopped two shots for Fryeburg.

KENNEBUNK 3, GRAY-NEW GLOU-CESTER 0: Tiffany Weeks, Ashley Huston and Rachel Brigham scored for the Rams (3-1) against the Patriots (0-4) at Gray. Adrianne Kimball made 12 saves for Gray-New Gloucester.

LAWRENCE 5, MT. ARARAT 0: Dominique Lewis scored three goals to lead Lawrence (4-1) over Mt. Ararat (0-5) at Fairfield.

Julie Lawrence and Hallee Parlin also scored.

MT. VIEW 5, MORSE 0: Austyn Thomas and Reanna Boulay both scored two goals to lead Mt. View (4-2) over Morse (1-4) at Thorndike.

Thomas and Kersey Boulay scored first-half goals. Dinah Bilodeau of Mt. View faced no shots in the shutout. Bryanna Ringore finished with 30 saves for Morse.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 8, WAYNFLETE 0: Julianna Tardiff scored twice as North Yarmouth Academy (2-0) stopped Waynflete (0-2-1) at Portland.

Kayla Ross, Emma Warren, Olivia Madore, Charlotte Eisenberg, Alexandra Burns and Emma Randall also scored.

GARDINER 5, BELFAST 3: Madeline Reny had three goals and an assist as the Tigers (4-2) beat Belfast (1-3) at Gardiner.

THORNTON ACADEMY 3, LAKE REGION 0: Ashley Howe had 30 service points, including 13 aces, to lead Thornton Academy (1-3) to its first-ever victory, at Saco.

Howe also had seven digs, Olivia Shaw helped with 13 service points, three aces and two blocks, Kaylee Burns had five digs and four kills, and Lauren Leskowsky finished with four blocks and two kills.
