Pig roast – Saturday, Sept. 21, 1-3 p.m., Scarborough Post 76 American Legion, Libby Road, Scarborough. Annual event to benefit Scouting in Maine, Boys and Girls State and other school functions. Roasted pig, cole slaw, corn on the cob, rolls, and many desserts. $14; live band, 50/50 and door prizes.

Free community dinner – Monday, Sept, 23, 5:30 p.m., First Parish Congregational Church, 1 Church St., Gorham. Sponsored by the Gorham Ecumenical Council. Roasted turkey dinner with all the trimmings including salads and homemade desserts. Free food and fellowship. Families, seniors, singles are all welcome.

Free meal – Wednesday, Sept. 25, 5-6 p.m., My Place Teen Center, 755 Main St, Westbrook. Sponsored in collaboration with Wayside Food Program and hosted by Trinity Lutheran Church and the teen center. Use Foster Street entrance; handicapped accessible.

Chicken pie supper – Saturday, Sept. 28, 5-6:30 p.m., First Parish Congregational Church, 1 Church St., Gorham. Homemade chicken pot pie, veggies, potatoes, rolls, dessert pies and beverages. $10, $5.

Famous roast beef supper – Saturday, Sept. 28, 5-6:30 p.m., Windham Hill United Church of Christ, 140 Windham Center Road, Windham. All you can eat. $8, $5.
