Nicholas Alexander, 23 of Dresden, pleaded guilty Tuesday in U.S. District Court to conspiring to rob a Walgreens pharmacy in Bath in June.
According to U.S. Attorney Thomas E. Delahanty II, Alexander and others robbed the pharmacy on State Road in Bath on June 14.
“Alexander handed a note to a pharmacist that read, ‘You have 20 seconds to give me all your oxycodone 15 mg tablets and 30s or I will blow your [expletive] brains out,’” Delahanty said in a news release.
“As a result, Alexander was given a bag containing 11 bottles of oxycodone tablets” and was later found at a motel in Wiscasset with 600 oxycodone tablets, Delahanty said. “In an interview, Alexander admitted robbing the store, using some of the stolen tablets, and selling others.”
Alexander faces up to 20 years imprisonment and a fine of up to $250,000. He will be sentenced after completion of a pre-sentence report.
The investigation as conducted by the Bath Police Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Lincoln County Sheriff ’s Office.
