AUGUSTA — Maine Gov. Paul LePage is attending New England’s largest fair to promote the sale of Maine products.
LePage will be at the Eastern States Exposition in Springfield, Mass., on Saturday, which is “Maine Day.”
Each of the six New England states has an exhibition hall at the Big E fair featuring their state’s businesses and products. The governor’s office says the state of Maine building has Maine food, products and information about tourism and vacation opportunities.
Last year, more than 1.3 million people attended the fair over two weeks, breaking the previous record of 1.26 million set in 2009.
The fair began Sept. 13 and ends on Sunday.
