NAPLES – Lucy Fowler scored two goals in the second half Thursday to lead Lake Region to a 2-1 victory against Fryeburg Academy in a Western Maine Conference field hockey game.

Emily Davidson gave Fryeburg (5-6) a 1-0 halftime lead against the Lakers (8-3). 

YORK 7, GREELY 0: Taylor Simpson scored five goals to lead the Wildcats (10-0) over Greely (3-6-1) at York.

Lily Posternak and Kayla Kelly also scored.

Livy Golini turned in two saves for the shutout. Sabrina Thompson made seven saves for Greely. 

KENNEBUNK 4, FREEPORT 1: Olivia Sandford scored two second-half goals to help the Rams (6-4-1) defeat Freeport (3-7) at Kennebunk.

The teams were tied at halftime with Megan Peacock of Freeport and Ellie Perkins of Kennebunk trading goals. Tiffany Weeks also added a second-half score for the Rams.

Liz Kudas made three stops for Kennebunk. Morgan Karnes knocked away eight shots for the Falcons. 

OXFORD HILLS 1, MT. BLUE 0: Jesse Murch scored a first-half goal as the Vikings (7-4) beat the Cougars (5-6) at South Paris.

Shannon Fillebrown of Oxford Hills and Nellie Hetherington of Mt. Ararat each made eight saves. 

YARMOUTH 2, SACOPEE VALLEY 0: Emma Peterson scored an unassisted goal and Kallie Hutchinson added a goal from Katie Overhaug to lead the Clippers (6-2-1) past the Hawks (0-7-1) at Yarmouth.

Chloe Ronco finished with 12 saves for Sacopee Valley.

MESSALONSKEE 7, CONY 1: Emily Hogan scored four goals to lead the Eagles (10-1) over Cony (6-5) at Oakland.

Nathalie St. Pierre added two goals, Kassi Michaud had another, and Abby Roberts made one save for Messalonskee, which has won eight straight.

Arika Brochu scored from Jamie Davis and Lindsay Lapierre had five saves for the Rams. 

LEAVITT 2, GARDINER 0: The Hornets (8-3) scored twice in the first half to defeat Gardiner (7-3) at Lewiston.

Sadie Royer had both goals for Leavitt. Sierra Santamango didn’t need to make a save. 

MT. BLUE 3, EDWARD LITTLE 0: Sarita Crandall, Leah St. Laurent and Mikayla Oswald scored as Mt. Blue (9-2) beat the Red Eddies (0-11) at Farmington.

BRUNSWICK 5, LEWISTON 0: Ann Cowan scored twice to lead the Dragons (6-3) over Lewiston (0-8-1) at Brunswick.

Emily Black, Lyse Henshaw and Madeline Cowan also scored.

Haley Murano made six saves to secure the shutout. Ally Frechette stopped six shots for the Blue Devils. 

HALL-DALE 9, BOOTHBAY REGION 0: Four players scored two goals each to lead the Bulldogs (8-1-1) over Boothbay Region (0-8-1) at Farmingdale.

Maura Stottler, Thea Sweet, Andrea Fredericks and Asia DiBenedetti scored two goals each; Signe Lynch had the other. Sweet, Lynch, Stottler, Eva Shepherd, Clio Barr and Addie Davis notched assists.

Jamie Wheeler made 13 saves for Boothbay. Olivia Maynard made one and Kayla Johnson added three for Hall-Dale. 

MT. BLUE 2, MESSALONSKEE 1: Eryn Doiron scored two goals as the Cougars (4-4-1) beat the Eagles (3-6) at Oakland.

Doiron scored on a penalty kick in the first half, then unassisted in the second. Thia Bridges had 11 saves for the Cougars.

McKenna Brodeur scored for Messalonskee from Kaitlin Eschenbrenner. Taylor Easler had 12 saves. 

RICHMOND 3, BUCKFIELD 0: Chika Obi, Amber Loon and Kelsea Anair scored as the Bobcats (7-1) beat Buckfield (6-4) at Richmond. 

MADISON 6, WINTHROP 1: Kirsten Wood had three goals and one assist to lead the Bulldogs (7-1-1) past Winthrop (0-8-1) at Madison.

Kayla Bess added two goals and two assists, and Tori McLaughlin had one goal and one assist. Whitney Lloyd assisted on two goals.

Shie Smith scored and Haley Choate made 10 saves for the Ramblers. 

MT. ARARAT 7, SKOWHEGAN 0: Seven players scored for the Eagles (8-1) against the Indians (0-9) at Topsham.

Erin Tome, Katie Labbay, Allison Melcher, Libby Ouellette, Sierra Gilley, Libby Davis and Torri Pelletier each had a goal.

VOLLEYBALL

CONY 3, THORNTON ACADEMY 1: Emily Russell and Abby Wormell each had nine aces as the Rams (4-5) beat the Trojans (1-8) in four sets at Saco, 25-11, 25-22, 23-25, 27-25.

Ashley Howe and Lauren Leskowsky each had five kills and four blocks for Thornton.

WEDNESDAY’S FIELD HOCKEY

CHEVERUS 6, NOBLE 0: Elyse Caiazzo scored three goals in the first three minutes of the second half, helping the Stags (8-2) beat the Knights (1-9) at Portland.

Meredith Willard scored 18 seconds in, and Mary Kate Slattery also scored in the first half. Emily Michaud added a second-half goal.
