BATH — The city will hold its annual Autumnfest on Saturday, which is also the day it will celebrate exceptional people and projects on Citizen Involvement Day.

Main Street Bath partners with the city to put on both events.

For Autumnfest, the Bath Farmers Market will be held at Waterfront Park from 8:30 a.m. to noon, with more than 20 vendors offering fresh produce.

Halcyon Yarn will hold an open house from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with fiber arts discounts and demonstrations at 12 School St. Hula-hooping will take place from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on the Customs House lawn, where scarecrow-making and face-painting will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Zumba for children will run from 11 a.m. to noon.

Antique fire truck rides from City Hall and around downtown will be offered from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the “Step it Up” 5K road race or walk from the Wing Farm Business Park will start at 10 a.m.

Citizen Involvement Day activities run from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Waterfront Park, with an awards ceremony starting at noon. Awards will be presented for citizen of the year, a community project and community spirit, and there will also be a youth award.

The “Made-In-Maine” craft show will be held on lower Front Street from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and “Shop Locally” rewards will be offered at downtown businesses from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; shoppers who spend at least $50 in participating shops will receive a $10 Gift of Bath gift certificate.

Oktoberfest, a seasonal German celebration, will take place at the Bath Freight Shed on Commercial Street from noon to 4:30 p.m.
