BRUNSWICK – Mac Caputi completed 12 of 22 passes for 182 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and Zach Donnarumma rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown as Bowdoin scored 21 straight points to open the game and then held on for a 27-21 football win over Hamilton on Saturday.

After Andrew Murowchick’s 26-yard field goal gave the Polar Bears (2-2) a 27-21 lead with 2:55 left, Hamilton got the ball back with a chance to take the lead, but Bowdoin’s Jon Fraser intercepted a pass to seal the win.

WESLEYAN 35, BATES 7: The Cardinals (4-0) used a 21-point second quarter to pull away from the Bobcats (2-2) at Middletown, Conn.

Bates took an early lead, scoring with 3:45 left in the first quarter on a 3-yard run by quarterback Matt Cannone that capped a 14-play, 80-yard drive.

Ryan Curit finished with 59 yards rushing on 16 carries for the Bobcats.

AMHERST 14, COLBY 10: The Lord Jeffs (4-0) rallied for a victory over the Mules (1-3) at Waterville.

Harry Nicholas made a game-high 10 tackles for Colby and Zach Padula had a pair of interceptions.

HUSSON 35, ANNA MARIA 14: Byron Jackson rushed for 122 yards on 15 carries and scored a pair of touchdowns to lead the Eagles (3-2, 2-0 Eastern Collegiate) as they combined to rush for over 300 yards in a win over the Amcats (1-4, 0-2) at Paxton, Mass.

Husson quarterback Joe Seccareccia added 133 yards rushing and also completed five passes for 76 yards, including a 23-yard touchdown to Ryan Stroud midway through the second quarter that gave the Eagles a 14-0 lead.

ARMY 50, EASTERN MICHIGAN 25: Terry Baggett ran for four touchdowns — including a 96-yard score — and a school record 304 yards, the highest in Division I this season, as the Black Knights (3-4) came back to win at West Point, N.Y.

Baggett’s performance broke Michael Wallace’s school record of 269 yards set in 1999.

NEW HAMPSHIRE 59, RHODE ISLAND 19: Sean Goldrich completed two touchdown passes and added a rushing touchdown, in his first start of the season to lead the Wildcats (2-3, 1-1 Colonial Athletic) past the Rams (2-5, 1-3) at Durham, N.H.

JAMES MADISON 38, RICHMOND 31: Michael Birdsong threw for 262 yards and two touchdowns as James Madison held on at Harrisonburg, Va.

WILLIAM & MARY 27, PENN 14: Mikal Abdul-Saboor rushed for 100 yards and three touchdowns as William & Mary (4-2) defeated Penn (2-2) at Williamsburg, Va.

William & Mary next plays at Maine on Saturday.

VILLANOVA 45, TOWSON 35: John Robertson threw for 182 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 150 yards and three touchdowns as Villanova (4-2, 3-0 Colonial Athletic) topped Towson (6-1, 2-1) at Towson, Md.
