Five people were rescued from the water at the entrance to Wells Harbor after their fishing boat capsized Sunday afternoon.
The boaters were pulled from the waves by the Wells assistant harbor master, who also towed the fishing vessel to shore.
The Wells Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services were called to the scene at 1:37 p.m. and evaluated the five passengers, Wells Fire Department Capt. Jeff Cullen said Sunday night.
None of the passengers required serious medical attention. The incident was witnessed by tourists and surfers, who were first to call for help.
The names of the boaters were not available, Cullen said.
