I would like to thank the dedicated and creative volunteers who helped launch the 3rd Friday Concert Series at The Chocolate Church Arts Center in Bath.

Bath resident Peter Alexander, who has served as president of the Maine Songwriters Association since 2009 and is the executive director of the Maine Alliance for Arts & Education, has produced the concert series; Ken Safford of Woolwich and Mike Goudreau of Boothbay volunteered as sound engineer and lighting director, respectively; Dennis Doiron of Phippsburg added finesse as emcee; and local musicians Carter Ruff, Dave Hunt and Robby Simpson all donated their talent to this benefit show.

Thanks to their commitment the audience received an evening full of music. And the best part is that there are two more upcoming concerts with different musicians on Nov. 15 and Dec. 13 that can build on this positive momentum. The Bath community and immediate area is fortunate to have such fine local talent. Buy Local/Listen Local.
