Looking for a way to discover your artistic side? On Nov. 23 from 1-3 p.m., the South Portland Public Library will offer a free, hands-on workshop for adults with Betty Johnson, a pressed flower artist and South Portland resident.

Participants in the workshop will design and create beautiful bookmarks, cards and pictures using pressed flowers, such as buttercups, pansies, Queen Anne’s lace and rudbeckia, to name a few, all grown and harvested by Johnson. The workshop will be held at the main library’s location at 482 Broadway, South Portland.

This program is made possible through the support of the Friends of the South Portland Public Library. Admission to the event is free. Questions can be directed to 767-7660. Visit the library website at www.SouthPortlandLibrary.com or follow them on Facebook.
