Four people were arrested Friday after an investigation of a suspected methamphetamine lab at a home in Owls Head, said the Maine Department of Public Safety.

Heather Graham, 40, Travis Batty, 29, and Anthony Torre, 22, were charged with Class B trafficking by manufacturing meth. They were held in the Knox County Jail on $10,000 bail.

Damien Welch, 22, was charged with Class A trafficking by manufacturing meth. His charges are more severe than the others’ because of his criminal history, Maine State Police said. His bail was set at $125,000 because of his criminal record and limited ties to the area, police said.

The four gave their address as 21 South Shore Drive in Owls Head.

It was the 14th time the Clandestine Drug Laboratory Enforcement Team has responded to a meth lab-related incident this year, the most ever in a year. In 2012, the team responded to 13 incidents.

In the past month, the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency investigated information that meth was being manufactured at the home on South Shore Drive.

Because meth manufacturing is extremely toxic and explosive, the enforcement team worked to safely dismantle and seize evidence of manufacturing.

Specially trained agents from around the state, along with two state chemists, dismantled five containers in the home where they suspected meth was being made.

Samples from each container will now be analyzed, state police said.
