BATH — United Way of Mid Coast Maine raised about $3,000 more than its $1.93 million goal in this year’s campaign.

Calling the finish “a squeaker” at the recent campaign finale, Campaign Chairman Vin DiCara of Brunswick thanked those who contributed.

“What a great achievement, by so many people, to reach this goal for our community,” he said in a press release.

The organization and its 40 local partner agencies helped about 20,000 Mid Coast residents last year.
