A crash Monday left a pedestrian with life-threatening injuries and shut down Milton Mills Road for several hours.
Lebanon Rescue reported that a car hit a pedestrian at 4:49 p.m. near 339 Milton Mills Road in North Lebanon.
When rescue workers arrived the pedestrian had life-threatening injuries but was still breathing, the rescue department said in a release. The department tried to summon a medical helicopter but one could not respond because of poor weather, the department said.
The man was taken by ambulance to Goodall Hospital in Sanford. The road was closed from Keay Road to the Acton town line until about 8 p.m. as Maine State Police reconstructed the crash.
No information was available early Tuesday morning about the pedestrian’s condition.
