SANFORD — Evyn Nolette had 15 points, eight assists and three steals to pace Sanford to a 59-49 win over Westbrook in an SMAA boys’ basketball game Thursday night.

Joshua Schroder added 10 points and eight rebounds and Chase Smith-Roberts scored 12 points for Sanford (1-1), which led 27-18 at the half.

Moses Abwoch scored 10 points for Westbrook (0-2).

MASSABESIC 55, BIDDEFORD 47: Daniel Amabile scored 15 of his 23 points in the second half as the Mustangs (1-1) rallied from a 28-19 halftime deficit at Biddeford (0-3).

Cale Thornton added 12 points for Massabesic.

T.J. McCann scored 20 for the Tigers.

MORSE 41, ERSKINE ACADEMY 26: Ethan Winglass scored 17 points as the Shipbuilders (3-0) beat the Eagles (0-3) at South China.

Chris Paulus added nine points for Morse, which pulled away in the fourth quarter, outscoring Erskine 12-2.

Matt Clary and Jared Gartley each had 10 points for Erskine.

OCEANSIDE 83, WINSLOW 76: Isaiah Stone-Patterson scored 24 points to lead the Mariners to a win in Winslow.

David Gould added 17 points and Nick Judge scored 13 for Oceanside (2-1).

Justin Martin scored 27 points and hauled in 10 rebounds to lead Winslow (1-2). Trevor Lovely added 23 points and Dakota Herman had 11.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 63, GARDINER 62: Nick DePatsy scored 19 points to lead the Panthers (3-0) to an overtime win in Waldoboro.

Micah Williamson added 16 points.

Seth McFarland led Gardiner (1-1) with 18 points, while Alex LaPointe chipped in with 16.

TRAIP ACADEMY 74, A.R. GOULD 17: Nate Henderson scored 16 points to lead four double-digit scorers for the Rangers (1-2) in a rout of the Bears (0-2) at South Portland.

Chris Bailey added 14 points, Josh Schneier had 11 and Daniel Tokarz scored 10 for Traip.

BOOTHBAY 52, LISBON 39: John Hepburn had 24 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Seahawks (1-1) past the Greyhounds (1-1) at Lisbon Falls.

Hepburn scored 11 in the first quarter, when Boothbay darted to a 21-12 lead. Nick Kilgus added 13 points, including seven in the first quarter, and Andrew Hallinan had 11.

Jacob Johnston had 12 points and 12 rebounds for Lisbon.

FOREST HILLS 72, PINE TREE ACADEMY 37: The Tigers led 23-2 after one quarter and cruised to a victory in Jackman.

Ryan Petrin led Forest Hills (4-0) with 16 points. JP Tshamala scored 17 points for Pine Tree (2-1).

WATERVILLE 81, NOKOMIS 61: Owen Brown had 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Purple Panthers to a win in Newport.

Jason Jabar added 23 points and five assists for Waterville (2-1).

Nokomis (0-2) was led by Jacob Winslow with 21 points and Andrew Cartwright with 20.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

PORTLAND 76, MARSHWOOD 55: Cierra Burnham scored 23 points to lead the Bulldogs (3-0) past the Hawks (0-3) at South Berwick.

Gabrielle Wagabaza added 11 points, and Elizabeth Donato had nine points and seven steals for Portland.

Kat Locke had 12 points and 10 rebounds for Marshwood. Lydia St. Pierre added 10 points.

SANFORD 38, WESTBROOK 33: Morgan Fogg finished with 16 points to lead the Spartans (1-1) past the Blue Blazes (0-2) at Westbrook.

GARDINER 62, MEDOMAK VALLEY 24: Ally Day had 14 points and eight rebounds, while freshman Lauren Chadwick scored 13 points and grabbed six rebounds as the Tigers (2-0) defeated the Panthers (1-2) at Gardiner.

Morgan Carver added 11 points for Gardiner. Hannah Marks had seven points for Medomak.

FOREST HILLS 66, PINE TREE ACADEMY 48: Kori Koro had 24 points and eight steals to lead the Tigers (3-0) to a win in Jackman.

Anna Carrier had 15 points and 10 rebounds for Forest Hills.

Alex Goodman, an eighth grader, led Pine Tree (2-1) with 34 points.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 49, WINTHROP 26: Kylie Kemp scored 12 points to lead the host Mustangs to an MVC win.

GORHAM 5, PORTLAND/DEERING 1: Tucker Buteau had two goals and an assist, Jared Wood provided a goal and three assists and the Rams (2-0) cruised past Portland/Deering (0-1-1) at Portland Ice Arena.

Shawn Sullivan and Dylan Turner added a goal and two assists apiece for Gorham.

Curran Clere scored for Portland/Deering.

SOUTH PORTLAND 5, WINDHAM 4: Kyle Halvorsen finished with four goals and an assist, while Andrew Whipple added a goal and four assists to lead the Red Riots (1-1) past the Eagles (1-1) at Portland Ice Arena.

Caleb Klowas scored twice for Windham. Zack Callahan and Gage Chenard added one goal each.
