Good Tern Coop Cafe Gallery is featuring new sunrise photographs by Rockland photographer Tim Sullivan through Jan. 4.

A reception will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday at the gallery, 750 Main St. in Rockland. The event will include music from local musicians Michael Whitehead and Angela Anderson-Pomerleau and a wine tasting with Brian Smith of Oyster River Wine Growers.

Sullivan’s interest in photography dates back 20 years.

“I thought I wanted to be a photographer, playing with light and color, but the processing, the chemicals, getting everything right was beyond what I could – and wanted to – do at the time,” Sullivan wrote on his Facebook page. “Now, 20 years later, the quality and digital processing of photos almost match what one can do with a film camera.”

Sullivan’s photographs features in the exhibit are printed on canvas. To see more of his photos, “like” his page at Facebook.com/timsullivanphotography.

The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
