HAMPDEN — The Brunswick High School girls junior varsity Orange team fell behind 10-8 on the road in the opening quarter against Hampden Academy, but rallied with 21 second-quarter points on its way to a 49-45 victory on Friday.

Brunswick’s press defense helped the Dragons claim double-digit leads on several occasions before holding on at the end.

Aiden Sachs and Kolby Levesque each scored 11 points to lead Brunswick, while Brooke Barter had eight points. Brianna Newton and Maddie Brescia led the Dragon defense with several steals each.

In all, 11 Brunswick players scored.
