LEWISTON —The Brunswick High School jayvee girls basketball team sent Lewiston to the foul line 20 times in the second half, leading to 13 points, as the Blue Devils defeated the Dragons 41-38 on Monday.

Lewiston took a 10-6 first-quarter lead, but Brunswick rallied late in the second quarter to get within 14-13 at halftime. A fourth quarter run led by a Dragon trapping defense closed the deficit once again before Lewiston sealed the game with Skylar Gaudet’s traditional three-point play.

Gaudet led all scorers with 14 points, while Kassey Talarico scored all of her nine points during the third quarter.

Brunswick, which had 10 players score, held the Blue Devils to five scorers. Kolby Levesque led the Dragons’ offense with 11 points while Aidan Sachs and Margaret Dickinson combined for 16 rebounds. Sarah Dorval led the defensive charge for Brunswick.
