LISBON

The spirit of giving during the season is alive and well in Lisbon.

Students, staff and families of Lisbon Community School, Philip W. Sugg Middle School and Lisbon High School partnered with the town of Lisbon with the Annual Giving Tree program and the United State Marine Corps for the Maine Toys for Tots campaign.

“Student volunteers in the community of Lisbon schools met to decide on the projects they wanted to assist with during the school year. Collecting toys during the holiday season was again at the top of the list for activities this year,” said Monica Millhime, community resource coordinator for Lisbon Schools.

“Students started recruiting toys in the community and the word spread quickly.”
