ROCKLAND — Nick Judge scored 29 points Friday night to lead Oceanside to an 84-63 vicory against Gardiner in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference schoolboy basketball game.

Hunter Grindle added 18 points for Oceanside (6-1), while teammates Isaiah Stone-Patterson and David Gould scored 13 points apiece.

Seth McFarland led Gardiner (2-3) with 18 points. Brad Weston added 17 points, five rebounds and three steals, Josh McKelvey scored eight points and grabbed seven rebounds, and Alex LaPointe recorded four steals and four assists.

MARANACOOK 93, LINCOLN ACADEMY 77: Taylor Wilbur scored 34 points, including six 3-pointers, as Maranacook (4-2) beat the Eagles (3-2) at Readfield.

Cam Brochu added 23 points and Kent Mohlar chipped in 11 for the Black Bears.

Devin Scherer had 15 points, A.J. Oliver 12 and James Seward Matel 11 for Lincoln.

BRUNSWICK 62, BREWER 41: Derek Devereaux scored 19 points, Ryan Black added 10 points and four assists, and the Dragons (4-2) beat the Witches (1-4) at Brewer.

Elliot Boyd chipped in with six points and seven rebounds for Brunswick.

Logan Rogerson had 16 points for the Witches.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 61, MT. VIEW 45: Sophomore Nicholas DePatsy scored a career-high 27 points to lead Medomak Valley (4-1) over Mt. View (3-2) at Thorndike.

DePatsy also led the team with nine rebounds.

The Panthers pulled away in the fourth quarter with an 18-10 run, including 8 of 12 from the free-throw line. Colton Spear was 4 of 4 from the line in the final quarter and finished with 10 points.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

MARANACOOK 61, LINCOLN ACADEMY 56: Christine Miller had 26 points and 17 rebounds as the Black Bears (4-2) beat the Eagles (3-2) at Readfield.

Liz D’Angelo added seven points and eight rebounds for Maranacook. Catherine Sanborn had nine points, including seven in the second quarter when the Black Bears outscored the Eagles, 22-7.

Jen Genthner had 14 points, Bri Wajer scored 13 and Leslie Sandefur finished with 12 for Lincoln.

GARDINER 68, OCEANSIDE 64: Ally Day scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Gardiner (4-1) over the Mariners (4-3) at Rockland.

The Tigers held on thanks to Day, who went 8 of 8 from the foul line in the fourth quarter. Savannah Vinton-Mullens added 12 points for Gardiner and Abby Dunn scored eight.

Emily Gould matched Day with 20 points for Oceanside. Brooke Dugan and Makenna Broooks scored 13 points apiece.

BRUNSWICK 56, BREWER 17: Julia Champagne led visiting Brunswick (5-1) over Brewer (1-5), putting up 22 points with nine rebounds, five assists, five steals and five blocks.

Ann Dimick added seven points and 10 rebounds, and Madeline Suhr also had 10 boards for the Dragons.

Maddy Bailey and Megan Libby each scored 11 for the Witches.

BOYS’ HOCKEY

CONY/MONMOUTH ACADEMY 6, MT. ARARAT/LISBON 3: Anthony Brunelle scored a hat trick and added an assist to lead the Rams (4-1) over Mt. Ararat/Lisbon (3-2) at Brunswick.

Dakota Benson, Spencer Buck and Cameron Wilson also scored for Cony/Monmouth Academy, and Buck and Austin Davis contributed two assists apiece.

Tom Small made 12 saves for Cony/Monmouth Academy and Kyle Welch made 32 for Mt. Ararat/Lisbon.
