BRUNSWICK — There are several Mid-coast region basketball players among leaders in he Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference girls’ stats.

Brunswick leads the conference with 57.4 points per game with Edward Little (55.4) second. Mt. Ararat is averaging 34 points.

Julia Champagne of Brunswick is the top scorer (22.2 points per game) just ahead of Lawrence’s Nia Irving (20,5), Brunswick’s Lyse Henshaw (13.6) and Mt. Ararat’s Caitlin LaFountain (11.7) are also ranked.

Irving is also a top rebounder (21.5 rpg) with Champagne (11.5) and Mt. Ararat’s Lindsey Cornelison (8.4) and LaFountain (8.3) ranked high.

In the assists department, Jordyn Towers of Lawrence is first (6.0 apg) with Champagne (4.5) fourth.

Lawrence has the stingiest defense, allowing 35.5 points per outing with Mt. Ararat seventh (48.4) and Brunswick eighth (49.4).
