Letter to the editor: Expression gives false idea about effect of rising tide

The nature of a tide is to rise on one shore and fall on the opposite side. The amount of water doesn’t change. Ergo, the expression “A rising tide lifts all boats” is simply not true. Barbara Callahan South Portland
