At Skillins Falmouth’s holiday open house, I had a terrible fall. This resulted in breaking my nose, having a deep cut very near my eye, fragmenting my shoulder and breaking another bone in my arm.
As I continued falling, I anticipated the final blow of my head hitting the floor. Two strong arms suddenly cradled me. A voice said, “Don’t move. I have you. I am a doctor, a surgeon. I will stay with you until the paramedics come. My wife has your purse and we will put it in the ambulance.”
Regrettably, although the physician did identify himself, I did not remember his name due to the intense pain. Seventeen days later, after being at Mercy Hospital and Falmouth by the Sea, I came home for Christmas.
Thank you, Doctor, for your help. You are my unknown hero!
