SOUTH BERWICK — Megan McLean scored 10 points and grabbed five rebounds to lead a balanced offense as Marshwood earned a 49-44 win over Scarborough in an SMAA girls’ basketball game Friday night.

Kat Locke added seven points and nine rebounds for the Hawks (4-5).

Scarborough (5-5) was paced by Brooke Malone with 15 points.

CHEVERUS 51, SANFORD 39: Georgia Ford scored 15 points, including three 3-pointers, to pace the Stags (7-3) past the Spartans (3-7) at Portland.

Jess Willerson added 13 points for Cheverus, which raced out to a 27-14 lead after one quarter.

Shelby Paiement scored 16 points for Sanford.

GORHAM 58, WESTBROOK 37: Emily Esposito scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Rams (6-4) over the Blue Blazes (3-7) at Gorham.

Gorham opened the game with a 14-2 run. Abby Hamilton helped the Rams with 13 points

Alisha Aube paced Westbrook with 14 points.

THORNTON ACADEMY 53, NOBLE 24: Olivia Shaw finished with 16 points and nine rebounds to lead the Trojans (8-1) past the Knights (0-9) at North Berwick.

Amber Kelly paced Noble with 11 points.

DEERING 58, MASSABESIC 36: Katasia Titherington scored 14 points to lead a balanced attack for the Rams (5-5) against the Mustangs (1-9) at Waterboro.

Amanda Brett and Christina Viney added 13 and 10 points, respectively.

Massabesic was led by Emma Desrochers with 10 points.

PORTLAND 47, BIDDEFORD 27: Gabby Wagabaza scored 10 points to lead a balanced attack for the Bulldogs (9-1) in a win over the Tigers (2-8) at the Expo.

Thirteen players scored for the Bulldogs, who led 39-14 at halftime.

Charlotte White led Biddeford with seven points.

SACOPEE VALLEY 31, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 20: Abby Hughes scored 10 points to pace the Hawks (3-4) over the Panthers (4-4) at Yarmouth.

SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 44, HEBRON ACADEMY 28: Kylene DeSmith scored six of her 16 points in the first quarter as the Guardians (3-5) opened the game with a 14-3 run against the Lumberjacks (0-6) at Eliot.

Olivia Brown scored 15 points for Hebron.

GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 48, NORTH HAVEN 42: Clarissa Jones scored 25 points to lead the Lions (2-5) over the Hawks (0-9) at North Haven.

Jess Smith added a career-high 10 points.

Jasmine Brown scored 12 points, and Maddie Hallowell and Samantha Sparhawk each had 10 for North Haven.

MARANACOOK 57, CAMDEN HILLS 46: Catherine Sanborn had 15 points, eight assists and six steals to lead the Black Bears (7-4) to a win in Readfield.

Sarah Clough scored 13 points and Liz DiAngelo added 12.

Bekah Hilty led Camden Hills (4-6) with 12 points.

FOREST HILLS 49, RICHMOND 32: Kori Coro scored 26 points to lead the Tigers (9-0) to a win in Richmond.

Kelsea Anair led Richmond (4-6) with 14 points.

RANGELEY 54, VINALHAVEN 26: Taylor Esty scored 18 points to lead the Lakers (8-0) over the Vikings (6-5) in Rangeley.

Seve Deery-Deraps scored 15 points for Rangeley, while Blayke Morin added 12.

Ashley Hamilton led Vinalhaven with 11 points.
