Thank you for giving prominence to Dr. Daniel C. Bryant’s letter on single-payer health care (“Single-payer health insurance in Maine merits attention,” Jan. 17).
Who would not be moved by such convincing arguments? Medicare for all would attract to our state, not only new businesses, but also more young people. And at less cost than we pay now!
Please do cover the progress of this important legislation. In fact, I urge you, through research, to cover the issue itself. Why? Because our current health care system is broken.
In this critically important area, our state could live up to its reputation as a bellwether state. Let’s lead the way for our nation. They’d thank us for it.
