CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — A 16-year-old boy allegedly stole a car and a gun and then fired once at a state trooper who stopped him on a Pennsylvania interstate Sunday morning, state police said.
Sean Patrick Sellers of Mifflinburg, is being charged as an adult after police said he fired once at Trooper Michael Quinn around 7 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 81 near Chambersburg.
After Quinn stopped the teen for failure to drive within a single lane, Sellers allegedly fired at Quinn, and the trooper returned fire from behind his vehicle. Sellers then surrendered.
Police said the shooting is not related to an incident 15 miles farther south on I-81 on Jan. 4 that killed a 28-year-old Maine man. No arrests have been made in that case.
