On Jan. 23, there were two articles in the Press Herald. The first was “Networking animal shelters place more pets.” The second was “Abortion opponents march on Capitol Hill.”
According to the first story, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has launched a program to move more pets from shelters that are overcrowded to those that have room, giving the pets a better chance to be adopted and to live.
In the second article, organizers said that the theme of this year’s Right to Life march was “Adoption: a Noble Decision,” as an alternative to abortion.
Since the Roe v. Wade ruling in 1973, we’ve killed millions of babies. It seems we care more about innocent pets than innocent babies.
