JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jurors deliberating whether a Florida man committed murder when he fatally shot a teen after an argument over loud music will watch a security-camera video that captured sounds of the gunshots.
The 12 jurors will watch the video from a Jacksonville convenience store security camera on Thursday when they return deliberating at 47-year-old Michael Dunn’s trial.
They deliberated for three hours Wednesday before recessing for the night.
Dunn is charged with first-degree murder, though jurors could also consider second-degree murder and manslaughter as options.
Dunn claims he shot 17-year-old Jordan Davis, of Marietta, Ga., in self-defense outside the Jacksonville convenience store in 2012.
But prosecutors told jurors Dunn shot the teen because he felt disrespected by Davis.
