Rolling Thunder, Inc. Maine Chapter 1 dedicated a permanent, public POW/MIA Chair of Honor Tuesday at the International House of Pancakes in South Portland. Shown here as they paused for a photo to mark the occasion are Tim DeCosta, president of Rolling Thunder Maine Chapter 1; James A. Sheppard, WWII veteran and Tuskeegee airman; and Leon Tanguay, WWII veteran and POW, who sponsored the chair. Tanguay was 19 years old and fighting in France on Aug. 5, 1944 when he was taken prisoner by the Germans. He was held for nine months. The Chair of Honor was made by Hussey Seating Company in North Berwick.
