GORHAM – A Biddeford teenager was in critical condition and a Standish man hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash about 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, that closed the Bernard P. Rines Bypass.
In a report, Gorham Police Lt. Chris Sanborn identified the teenager as Justin L. Ouellette, 19. Sanborn said the other driver was David P. Russell, 59, of Standish who was transported with non-life threatening injury.
Sanborn said that Ouellette, who was driving a 1999 Dodge Caravan, was traveling south on the bypass when he lost control of the vehicle, crossed the centerline and hit Russell’s 2001 Toyota Camry northbound, head on.
Gorham Rescue took both drivers to Maine Medical Center in Portland.
