ALFRED — With snow in the forecast for later today and again next week, York County Emergency Management Agency Director Leo Rogers is advising folks to keep an eye on their roofs and clear them of snow, if possible.

Today’s storm, he said, is forecast to deliver 4-8 inches of snow ”“ on top of the foot of heavy, wet snow that fell here Thursday into Friday. And, he said, there’s even more snow in the forecast for Tuesday.

“York County Emergency Management Agency would like to remind everyone to clear off their roofs as much as possible. Also, if you are using a generator, be sure and have it outside and away from your home structure ”“ generators should never be placed inside your home or garage,” Rogers said.
