Do you think the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, a.k.a. Obamacare, works for Maine? The Lyman Republican Committee doesn’t think it does because of the following reasons:

1. The bill was passed without one Republican vote and forced upon the American people without their consent.

2. This bill was sold by the President to the American people based upon deceit and lies. For example, he said people could keep their existing insurance and see existing physicians.

3. Our representatives ”“ Democrats, Republicans and Independents ”“ should never pass any bill that they have not read, understood or debated.

4. Obamacare, as written, does not support Republican values of smaller government and lower taxes. In fact, it increases taxes and the size of government. We say “no” to new and higher taxes.

5. The IRS should not be policing health care.

6. For decades, the United States has enjoyed some of the best health care in the world.

7. The ACA is costing Americans jobs.

Therefore, we the people, call upon our representatives in Congress and the Maine State House to stand by us and support us, and do all they can to oppose and repeal this law.

If you agree and are a registered Republican or undeclared Lyman voter, please come and stand with us at our next meeting on Saturday, March 8 at 10 a.m. at the Community Library in Goodwins Mills. We value your input.
