Saint David’s Episcopal Church, 138 York St., Kennebunk (Route 1 south, just before the Wells town line) will host Ash Wednesday services on March 5 at 7:30 a.m., noon and 7 p.m. The Imposition of Ashes will be offered at all three services with sermon and music at the evening service.  My Sister’s Keeper, a lay ministry helping women in transition from incarceration to community, will hold an informational meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11 at Saint Martha’s Church, 30 Portland Road in Kennebunk. This mentoring ministry is open to women of all faiths. Participants must have the ability to listen and willingness to attend initial and on-going training sessions. Mentors are sought in York County to support a pilot program at the Southern Maine Re-entry Center in Alfred, which opened in April of 2013 to serve women as they prepare to return to their communities.  A service of comfort, healing and hope will be offered at First Parish Congregational Church UCC, at the corner of Beach and Main streets in Saco, on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. Participants will open themselves to healing in shared word and in silence, in the lighting of candles and holy thought. All are welcome to this half-hour service. 

 The St. Vincent de Paul rummage sale will take place Wednesdays from 12:30-2:30 p.m. at St. James Hall in Biddeford. Visitors should use the South Street entrance. Donations of saleable items can be delivered at same location between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monies raised go back into the surrounding communities to help the needy. The Royal Family Kids’ Camp online auction will begin at noon on Sunday, March 2 and will continue through Saturday, March 8 at 9 p.m. Royal Family Kids’ Camp, an outreach ministry of United Baptist Church in Saco, is a one-week residential summer camp for children who have a documented history of abuse, neglect or abandonment. The summer of 2014 will be the 15th year of operation. To fund the camp, each year the church hosts a week-long online auction that can be seen at www.royalkidscamp.org. All are encouraged to visit the auction site, register to be a bidder and then take part in the auction beginning March 2. The auction site presently is a work in progress, according to church officials, as new items and photographs of the items are added daily. Items will include collectibles, gift certificates for businesses, home crafted items, original artwork, jewelry and more. Successful bidders can pick up their items at United Baptist Church, 318 Main St., Saco, paying by cash or check.
