Edward Bilotti, M.D., was named medical director of the Mercy Recovery Center, a substance abuse treatment center in Westbrook.

Bilotti brings more than 15 years of experience to Mercy. Most recently, he was medical director for an area dual-diagnosis outpatient program. Before that, he was medical director of Aroga Behavioral Health in New Jersey, a multi-site, group dual-diagnosis practice that he founded in 1999.

Blair Jones has joined Rudman Winchell, Counselors at Law, in Bangor.

Jones will focus his practice on litigation, primarily in products liability, trucking, construction, commercial litigation, personal injury and premises liability.

He has been awarded an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell, named as a “Best Lawyer in America” by Best Lawyers and named a New England “Super Lawyer” by Super Lawyers magazine.

Jess Knox and Liz Trice were hired at Blackstone Accelerates Growth to guide development of its innovation hub program.

Knox was named state innovation hub leader. She is also president of Olympico Strategies LLC, a Maine-based business and strategy consulting service.

Trice was hired as Portland innovation hub coordinator. She also owns and manages Peleton Labs, a Portland co-working and startup services business, and has been instrumental in creating Startup Portland, a semi-annual competition to pitch business plans.

Erica Hutchinson was named development officer at Unity College.

She was previously the development director at the Charlotte White Center in Bangor.

Alyssa Tibbetts, a Portland native, recently joined Jensen Baird Gardner & Henry’s employment law and government services practice groups.

Before joining the firm, Tibbetts served as the assistant town manager for the Town of Cumberland and has extensive experience in local government administration.

PROMOTIONS

Dale Gavin was elected partner of Thompson & Bowie LLP.

Gavin has been with the firm for more than 10 years and practices in the areas of employment and workers’ compensation law. Before joining the firm, she worked for six years at the Maine Public Utilities Commission as a staff attorney and hearing officer.

AWARDS

Barbie Poitras, shipping supervisor at Volk Packaging Corp. in Biddeford, was recognized with the 2014 STEP Award, a national recognition celebrating women who have demonstrated science, technology, engineering and production excellence in manufacturing.

Bayside Cottage Rentals in Northport will begin its 2014 season under a new owner, Jennika Lundy.

A Maine native, Lundy has experience in managing luxury high-rise apartment buildings in Delaware.
