GREENVILLE — NAPA Auto Parts of Maine and New Hampshire Advertising Council will sponsor their third annual “Raw Egg Ride” charity event at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 8 to raise funds for Camp Sunshine, a retreat for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

2014 marks the 30th year of operation for both NAPA Maine and Camp Sunshine, and to mark the occasion NAPA has set a goal to raise $30,000 in donations, which would be enough to send 10 families to Camp Sunshine for one week. The “Raw Egg Riders” consist of 13 NAPA Auto Parts store owners, employees from Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New York and Kentucky, plus special guest rider, Camp Sunshine Executive Director Matt Hoidal.

Seventy-four NAPA stores throughout Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont have been encouraged to sponsor the “Raw Egg Rider” of their choice by purchasing eggs, which will be placed in the suits of the riders before they drive their snowmobiles on a specially designed route around the grounds at Leisure Life Resort in Greenville.

One hundred percent of the proceeds raised will go to Camp Sunshine, according to the company.
