• The Greater Portland Babe Ruth League will be holding registration for new and returning players from 6 to 8 p.m., March 5 and 12 at the Portland Expo. • Former NBA player Bob Bigelow will be conducting a basketball clinic on Sunday, March 16 at Orono High School for players in grades 7 and older. Camp is coed with a 30-player maximum. • Registration is open for the Maine Games Powerlifting, which will be held Saturday, March 22 at the Skehan Recreation Center in Hampden. • A girls’ basketball tournament will be held March 22-23 at Waterville/Fairfield. The tournament is for grades 6-12 and all teams are welcome (YBOA, AAU, local travel, etc). All levels available. Teams are guaranteed four games. Games are full length, stop time games with board officials. Cost is $275 per team until March 5 and $300 after that.
