A 74-year-old Portland man who was hit by a car over the weekend on Forest Avenue has died.
Elliot Burton was crossing Forest Avenue at 6:40 p.m. Saturday when he was hit by a northbound 2006 Toyota Camry driven by Lindsay Lathrop, 26, of Falmouth. Lathrop was not injured.
Burton died Tuesday at Maine Medical Center as a result of complications stemming from his injuries.
Neither speed nor alcohol were factors in the crash and it remains under investigation, police said. Police have not brought any charges in the crash.
