The New England Patriots reached agreement on a three-year deal with former Carolina wide receiver Brandon LaFell, ESPN reported Sunday.

LaFell, entering his fifth NFL season, played the last four with the Panthers. Listed at 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds, the inside/outside receiver started all 16 regular-season games in 2013 and finished with a career-high 49 catches for 627 yards and five touchdowns.

Against New England in 2013, a 24-20 win by the Panthers, LaFell had seven catches for 59 yards and a touchdown.

BRONCOS: Denver agreed to a three-year contract with former Pittsburgh wideout Emmanuel Sanders.

Sanders had 161 catches for 2,030 yards and 11 touchdowns in his four seasons with the Steelers.

GIANTS: New York bolstered tis defense, signing free agent safety Quintin Demps and cornerback Walter Thurmond.

Demps played for the Kansas City Chiefs last season.

Thurmond spent his first four NFL seasons with Seattle, which selected him in the fourth round of the 2010 draft.
